I can't say enough good things about my experience so far. I've been training with Eric Bowling and he has completely changed my thought process about everything from food, to training to sleep.
Before personal trainingI honestly felt like I was in a never-ending cycle of yo-yo dieting and working out 5 days a week (mostly cardio) and as I got into my 30's I just started to see my body slowly fall out of shape.
Some weeks I would feel like I was exhausted from working out everyday and I still wouldn't see any change in my body. Although I wouldn't consider myself overweight I was seeing how my mood and my confidence was being effected by feeling like I didn't really know what to do. Of course, it's easy to say "eat healthy and exercise." But I had been doing that for 15 years and after a while you start to get burned out if you don't see the results you're after.
Anyway... I started training with Eric and we talked about my goals and he introduced me to weight training (which, for my whole life has freaked me out because I didn't want to look big or muscular)... and in the first few weeks I already started seeing and feeling a huge difference. I started tracking my meals and he taught me about macros.
I started lifting heavy weights and getting kind of excited about it. I got so. much. stronger. in the process. I started out being able to do ZERO chin up's and by week 6 I was doing 7. (which is a win for me).
I started doing things like squats and working out my legs with heavy weight and honestly I have never seen my legs look smaller or leaner.
I'm still not 100% to my goal yet...but i'm excited about getting there.. I feel like my body composition has changed a lot in this process and since I started my goals have changed in the process too because I can now see what's possible.
